Drafting a Skirt Block

In this class, you will learn how to draft a skirt block tailored to bespoke measurements. This process involves creating a skirt block that fits your figure, as well as making a toile to ensure a good fit. Additionally, Barry will demonstrate how to add your adjustments to the block using ¼ scale blocks.

Steps to Draft a Skirt Block

1. Take Measurements: Gather your bespoke measurements including waist, hip, length, and any other relevant dimensions.

2. Create the Block: Use the measurements to draft the skirt block on paper, ensuring accurate proportions.

3. Make a Toile: Cut out the drafted block in calico to create a toile, which will help in assessing the fit.
